Objectives
To plan, Design and organize induction, mid career and refresher training programmes for various functionaries of the state.
To ensure identification of good talents from different training programmes/ departments and to develop these persons as potential trainers by way of academic support in terms of organizing Training of Trainers and capacity building in their domain area.
To suggest and guide various subject specific Centre/Cells for new initiatives.
To maintain directory of resource persons in different areas.
Establishing liaison with departments for organizing and other training related activities.
Spectrum of Activities
Trainer Development Programmes: Identify good talent who has the zeal to act as trainers, organizing Training of Trainers programmes.
Training Standards: Guiding, helping and supporting various subject-specific centers on developing Training Protocols.
Capacity building of Institute’s faculty: Getting nominations for training programmes organized by different Institute/ATIs, arranging in house ToT programmes, arranging special lectures and other capacity building events.
Coordination with other agencies: Issue circulars through personnel department for getting nominations, coordination with DoPT, various departments and individual experts.
Academic Inputs: Preparing and updating classified directory of resource persons.

MGSIPA an institute of Punjab Government devoted to training and research in Public Administration is now offering an excellent opportunity to the aspirants of the Civil Services examination. The Institute had launched the Civil Services Coaching Centre(CSCC) in 2011 with fifty aspirants from all over Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. Majority of the aspirants were Doctors, Engineers and Graduates. The coaching centre provides coaching for IAS / PCS Preliminary and Mains examination and conducts mock interviews to prepare the candidates.While providing coaching for cracking the Civil Services examination, the centre also aims at developing the overall personality of aspirants.
